An old African proverb notes that if you want to fast, go alone but if you want to go far, go together. Development around the world has taken place at an incredible rate resulting in life-threatening implications for many communities.

At EWB Australia, we know that if we want to create lasting change with disadvantaged communities, it needs to be a collective effort! EWB is incredibly proud of what our volunteers, partners, donors and supporters have accomplished during the past months.

Just imagine the change we can create – if we continue to work together.

Here’s a sneak peak of what we’ve been up to …

Our volunteers and the Kooma Traditional Owners Association have worked together on an energy project including the installation of solar panels at the Bendee Downs homestead in South West Queensland.

Our volunteers and Live and Learn have designed and piloted floating toilets for the communities living on the Tonle Sap Lake in Cambodia. Waste is collected for use on gardens and could be used as energy for cooking and heating, through a bio-digester!

Our volunteers and Santulan have developed a water, sanitation and hygiene education program to improve the health and safety of children who play and live in the Santulan stone quarry in India.

Five engineering students from the University of Adelaide are taking an innovative approach to a major health issue – designing a low-smoke stove that uses cattle dung as a fuel source for deforested areas of Nepal.

Our Go far, Go together campaign aims to raise financial support for our work over the coming months. You can support us in this journey by making a donation to EWB today!Donate now!
