ebm-papst supporting EWB Australia since 2009

At Engineers Without Borders Australia, we work and are supported by like minded and aligned organisations, ebm-papst has been one of our supporters since and recently sponsored our Link Festival. As part of that sponsorship they provided us with these words, we felt they expressed exactly why our work together is important and benefical for both of us.  "ebm-papst Australia has been supporting Engineers Without Borders Australia since . We have been doing so partly because EWB shine a light on the positive change that engineering can produce, both in communities in Australia and overseas. However, EWB’s programs, including the Link Festival, not only benefit the community, but help engineers to think outside the box, and focus their problem-solving capacity onto bigger and broader issues. At ebm-papst, we believe in the power of leadership on all levels. This is especially important for young people. Enabling engineers to use their skills and knowledge to develop practical solutions to humanitarian issues can be a profound and potentially life-changing experience, and we support that. ebm-papst’s Managing Director Simon Bradwell and his wife spent two years in Zambia in to do voluntary work and to be challenged professionally. The work in various projects and the cultural and interpersonal experiences that the couple collected in Africa made a lasting impression. This engagement is continued in the form of various community-based activities such as fundraising for EWB Australia at Melbourne’s annual Ride Around the Bay.  Social responsibility is a very important topic for ebm-papst.
