On the of July , the Australian Embassy in Timor-Leste supported EWB by hosting a networking event for the local engineering community at the Australian Ambassador&#;s Residence.
During the event, the Engineers without Borders Professional Skills Development (PSD) scholarships were awarded. The PSD scholarships are designed to support individuals interested in developing their professional skills in humanitarian engineering, who demonstrate leadership skills and have a strong desire to contribute to their community. The recipients of the scholarships were Apolonia Asteria Barreto from WaterAid and Francisco Guterres dos Reis from PLAN International.
Massive congratulations to the PSD team for organising such a high-profile event and also to the rest of our field team for being great ambassadors of EWB in Timor-Leste.
Corinne Wallis, Project Manager of the Timor-Leste PSD project, has just finished up her placement and will be joining EWB as a Board member. Thanks for all your hard work Corinne! Vlasta Jeftic is now facilitating the project for the next months.
