In the recent EWB Board elections, of which three roles were available, Margarita Moya and Abhishek Singh were re-elected for another term, and we welcome Stacey Daniel to the EWB Board.

Margarita is an experienced Non-Executive Director and has been an Engineers Without Borders Australia volunteer since 2013. She is continually inspired by the work carried out by staff, partners, and volunteers to further EWB’s purpose of “harnessing the potential of engineering to create an equitable reality for the planet and its people”. Her first EWB event was a WASH working bee at UTS and not long after, an EWB National Conference event in South Australia. As a chapter volunteer, she supported local fundraising events such as the City of Sydney New Years Eve partnership. In 2016, she joined the EWB Australia Board and is currently a member of the Fundraising SubCommittee. Margarita also brings over 10 years experience working in data and analytics in marketing, financial services, and commercial real estate. She is a co-coordinator for a Sydney analytics user group and works with business leaders to upskill and enable teams to drive business outcomes and guide strategy. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Industrial Chemistry) and Bachelor of Arts (English) from University of New South Wales and has completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) course on Governance Foundations for Not-for-Profit Director.

Abhishek is a seasoned Board Director, Committee member, and Senior Executive with 25 years of experience across public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. He currently serves as co-deputy chair of EWB Australia’s Board and chairs its Strategy and Nominations Committee. As an EWB Ambassador, he actively engages with stakeholders and university partners to showcase the organization’s positive community impact. With expertise in strategic change and value delivery, Abhishek helps organisations establish priorities and realign resources to meet evolving customer needs. He fosters innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity, empowering teams to reach their full potential. Passionate about bridging engineering, data, and digital disciplines, Abhishek works with cross-functional teams to develop innovative, silo-breaking solutions. Abhishek has made practical the concepts of digital transformation for organisations where it matters most, reinventing the way they delivery services and the impact they have on the planet. Abhishek is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds an Executive MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management (UNSW) and a Master of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT, Delhi).

With a career as a non-executive director, entrepreneur, educator and environmental engineer, she drives sustainable and transformative change for individuals, communities and organisations. She paves the way for clearer directions and decisions for healthier and happier futures. Stacey’s portfolio of capabilities is impressive with competencies in board and organisational performance, strategy, decision making, governance, risk management, sustainability, and stakeholder engagement, as well as professional standards and development. Stacey has business and technical qualifications. She is a graduate of the AICD Company Directors Course, Chartered Professional Engineer, Life Coach, and has fulfilled many Board and Committee roles as a Non-Executive Director including Chairperson.
