Fia’s career has spanned human rights law, international development and humanitarian sectors. Fia has worked for Australian and Southeast Asian-based humanitarian and human rights organisations. Fia has completed a number of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade gender and poverty reduction projects in Indonesia. She contributed to the preparation of DFAT’s Indonesia Aid Program Performance Report 2018-19.
During her time with DFAT, Fia was awarded the Jakarta Embassy Annual Quality Award 2019 for Collaboration for successfully delivering the high-level forum, Indonesia Development Forum (IDF) in 2019. Fia worked with the Victorian Emergency Services of the Australian Red Cross as Vulnerable People in Emergencies project officer and project leader for Program Quality and Continuous Improvement. Fia was a recipient of the National Emergency Medal for the Bushfires 2019-2020.
