This year’s EWB Challenge Showcase was delivered in collaboration with the 2024 World Engineering Education Forum hosted by the University of Technology Sydney. Finalist teams from 14 universities across Australia and New Zealand joined us at the Sydney Masonic Centre for an exciting day of pitches and presentations as they shared their design ideas developed in response to the EWB Challenge Design Brief.
This year, students responded to one of two different community contexts; a First Nations context in Saibai Island in the Torres Strait with the Torres Strait Island Regional Council, and a Mondulkiri context in Cambodia, in partnership with the EWB Australia team in Cambodia. With representatives from our community partners present at the Showcase, it was a great opportunity for students to pick their brains and ask all of their burning questions from throughout the year.
