Congratulations to the  outstanding regional student teams recently selected by the judges in the EWB Challenge Regional Showcases. 

The outstanding regional teams will participate in the National Finalists Showcase on Monday December in Melbourne at : pm.  Representatives from Nepal Water for Health, this year&#;s EWB Challenge&#;s partner, will attend to review the finalists&#; presentations.

The following teams will represent their universities and regions at the finals on December:

ACT – Australian National University – project: "Reliable, sustainable, cheap source of energy"

NSW – University of New South Wales – project:  "Water treatment and quality"

NZ – Massey University – project: "Improved and Affordable Cookstove for Sandikhola, Nepal"

QLD – Queensland University of Technology – project:  "Lighting the way for development"

SA – Flinders University – project:  "Investigating the use of SODIS for water disinfection in Sandikhola, Nepal"

VIC – The University of Melbourne – project:  "The TOM box and facilitation education scheme"

WA & NT – Charles Darwin University – project: "Water saving platform for wash stations"

The judges and reviewers particularly commended the high quality of all the students&#; design proposals  and the  professionalism of the team presentations.  The judges and reviewers were impressed by the great work produced by all of the students in this year&#;s EWB Challenge.

NEWAH will receive a summary of all the student project proposals submitted to EWB for further consideration and possible implementation.
