Mr Shane Kennelly, Managing Director of Kennelly Constructions and First People Recruitment Solutions, is a proud Bundjalung man with over years of experience in senior executive positions, leading and building sustainable growth for businesses across the Defence, Telecommunications, Construction, Resources and Energy sectors.

Shane is passionate about providing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with long-term sustainable employment opportunities and helping their businesses to grow. He also wants to increase the participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), to ensure that they are not marginalised further due to technological advances.
“I have a drive to increase STEM participation, coupled with a passion for helping our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities. Inspired by EWB’s core aim of creating social value through engineering, we will consultatively develop strategic programs that can create long-term sustainable economic and social benefits to these communities. EWB&#;s track record in successfully delivering engineering programmes and of promoting STEM will facilitate my commitment to achieve long term impacts for Indigenous Communities.” Says Shane.
Shane sits on the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Business and Innovation Reference group for the Queensland Government, and the RAP Advisory Committee for GHD. Shane holds a Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Sydney University, and a Masters of Business from the University of Western Sydney.
